The Way it Was

Sometimes my heart long for the days when you first found me

They way it was when I first found You

They way it was when You set me free

Time with you was sweet

Daily I knew no defeat

They way it was when I first read your Word

The way it was when your voice I first heard

The way it was when I was first filled with your Spirit

The way it was when my pastor’s preaching I couldn’t wait to hear it

Thank you lord for conviction of the soul

Lord renew me as in days of old

Lord I will worship and love you afresh

Lord I bless your name again

Lord I lift my hands to you again

Lord I surrender to you again

Lord I never want from you to stray

Lord I am here to stay

Lord I will walk with you and worship you daily

The way it was!
