Because I'm Your Daughter

Mom, Dad, when I was born, you were so happy! You couldn’t quit smiling for days. A lot of planning, preparing and prayer were born long before I was even born.

“We’re gonna have a baby!” was my parents’ heart cry. All my brothers and sisters rejoiced over my birth. When I was first born, I received a lot of love and attention. All the family was excited about me. They even gave me a special name of my own!

It came to be understood real fast that it would take a lot of time, finances, sacrifices and of course, a great deal of love to birth and raise me. I guess you could say I’m a “big handful” of blessing and lots of hard work too.

"I guess you could say I’m a 'big handful' of blessing and lots of hard work too."

I love being part of the family. One day I hope to grow up and have a family of my own. I’m thankful for all the love, attention and nurture that my Mom and Dad, brothers and sisters give to me. Without my family, I most likely wouldn’t survive or live very long.

Mom, Dad, I LOVE BEING YOUR BABY GIRL!

My family is so kind to me. They make me feel loved, included and just as special as the rest of the family. After all, we are all brothers and sisters in the same family. They think of me on special days, holidays and always seek to include me.

I’m just a little baby girl now, but I’m growing up! I will be a “big girl” one day!

Mom, Dad, family, thank you for loving me, caring for me, protecting me, providing for me and helping me to grow every day. You always smile and tell me you love me and kindly remind me, “That is what Moms and Dads do best!”

Mom, Dad, I LOVE BEING YOUR BABY GIRL!

Oh, I’ve made my share of messes, forgetting things and even falling down and skinning my knees. Whenever I’m hurt, Mom and Dad, you’ve been there. Whenever I cry, you hug me close and wipe away all my tears.

I feel pretty because you often tell me that you think I’m beautiful. Your love gives me confidence every day as I live, breathe and grow little by little.

It has been fun growing up while you’ve watched me. Your approving smiles cheer me on to do more and inspire me to keep going and growing forward. I love being your daughter. Thank you forever for taking care of me. I know you naturally would have done all of this and will continue to do so because I’m your daughter.

Mom, Dad, where have all the years gone? Today I’ve been enjoying the precious memories and joyful reflections of you and all my brothers and sisters. Today my hair is longer. Today my smile is brighter and bigger than before. I’m growing up too!

Mom, Dad, family, thank you for helping me all these years! I love you forever! Thanks for believing in me. I feel like a beautiful butterfly spreading her wings to fly high. I am still your baby girl in my heart of memories, though! I love being your daughter.

Mom, Dad, I’m grateful for you now, more than ever before in my life. It’s amazing how time brings more vision and perspective to us. As I move into this next phase of my life, I appreciate you all the more. In this new phase of my life I realize all of the sacrifice, love, care and time devoted to raising me. I know you did it all, as you often told me, “Because you’re our daughter”. Today, I shower you with blessings, prayers, support and much love! All of this too, is because I’m your daughter.

I’ve got some sweet news for you and all my brothers and sisters. Since I’ve had a family of my own, I wanted to surprise you with the news that our family is growing again! We’re going to have a baby! I’m expecting a baby girl. I want to give her all the love, nurture and support that you’ve given to me all these years. What a joy it is to grow together through this journey of life.

"What a joy it is to grow together through this journey of life."

I send you all these words of thankfulness and love today because I’m your daughter. I rise up and call you all blessed today because I’m your daughter. I’m eternally grateful to you all because I’m your daughter.

Sincerely,

Your Daughter Work
